About
Peter Keserue is an experienced multi-instrumentalist who applies his musical skills to work in care settings, both with children in SEND schools and in homes working with residents with dementia.
He specialises in empowering people to experiment and enjoy playing musical instruments at any level. He believes free improvisation challenges listening, while encouraging interaction and awareness of others in a collaborative non-hierarchical environment. Each piece is unique, a conversation and creation in itself.
He is now using a host of iPad ‘Apps’ to expand his range of instruments; these tablets allow individuals and groups with little or no musical training, and with very diverse abilities, to create and perform high quality, meaningful music in a single workshop session.
In the last 4 years he has been running projects using iPads in many primary and secondary schools, especially in SEND settings. He works in one-to-one sessions and delivers trainings to teachers and music specialists. He has also been running participatory music sessions for residents living with dementia in care homes and in day centres in Southwark and in North London.
